Merr-itt Christmas!

We're doing decorating for Merritt's first Christmas, and she seems to be enjoying all the new colors and lights and textures. We'll add more photos as we finish the house, but wanted to add this photo of Merritt's first exposure to a Christmas tree. Enjoy!

Merritt is 6 Months!!!!

November 6th will be Merritt's half birthday! I cannot wrap my head around this at all. She has doubled in size. She'll be weighed next week, but I'm guessing she is over 16 lbs now, a sack of taters! She remains the coolest baby ever. Such a happy girl! We love her :) Here's some video of her from over the weekend:



We are in the process of trying her on new foods. Right now she tries a new food each week. She has been very cooperative and likes sweet potatoes, pears, peaches, peas, squash and applesauce. She also gets cereal twice a day. There's one food she hasn't quite figured out how to eat yet:



Meantime, Merritt had her first Halloween last week...and for those of you not in the know, she had the most unique costume in her daycare class - see if you can tell the difference:







Finally, winter is almost here, and Grammy and Pop-Pop Chaump bought "the bear" (Merritt that is) her first snow suit. It says its for 6-9 months, but I suspect the size is a little off. What do you think?
